Dr. Andreasen’s private Ontario plastic surgery practice was founded in 2001. Since then, it has developed into one of the leading Southern California plastic surgery practices, remaining committed to providing individualized personal care and maintaining the highest caliber of service. Dr. Andreasen treats patients from various areas throughout the Inland Empire ("IE"), including Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside, Redlands, and Corona.
Growing up with an interest in plastic surgery, including a focus on facelifts, Dr. Troy J. Andreasen is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. He became acquainted with a plastic surgeon while in the sport of boxing – Dr. Andreasen was a successful Golden Glove boxer. Through this association, his interest in the broad field of plastic surgery developed, and he ultimately immersed himself in its study for a number of years.
Dr. Andreasen then completed medical school at the University of Utah, following two years of religious missionary service. While at the University of Utah, he developed advanced microsurgical skills under the direction Graham Lister, the renowned hand surgeon. Dr. Andreasen’s efforts in microsurgical research helped to define the effects of trauma on microcirculation. Dr. Andreasen was awarded the highest achievement award from his alma mater, graduating at the top of his medical school class.
After that, Inland Empire plastic surgeon Dr. Andreasen was selected as one of the first U.S. medical school graduates to train in an integrated General Surgery/Plastic Surgery program that emphasized cosmetic surgery. At Loma Linda University, Dr. Andreasen established himself as one of their premier plastic surgical trainees as he excelled in all aspects of training. His specific interests included cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, as well as reconstructive surgery of the breast.
While at Loma Linda, he also captained the Loma Linda Good Samaritan Plastic Surgery efforts in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – Dr. Andreasen has been actively involved in missionary service since he was 19 years old. Twice a year, this team provided reconstructive surgery services to children who were impoverished and had no access to these procedures. Dr. Andreasen's experience in burn surgery and training in cleft lip and palate repair are fundamental components of the missionary endeavor.
Dr. Andreasen's mission of excellence in plastic surgery carries into his private practice with facelift patients, as well as those seeking other types of cosmetic enhancements. Each year, he performs hundreds of breast augmentation, breast lift, and corrective breast surgeries. Fully trained in the use of all available saline and silicone gel-filled implants, Dr. Andreasen gives patients the freedom to choose their desired implant and surgical technique. Additionally, he performs liposuction, tummy tucks, facelifts, and all facial rejuvenation procedures. Non-surgical facial rejuvenation services are also available at Dr. Andreasen’s practice, which include microdermabrasion, laser-based therapies, and chemical peels.
